I am having the same problem as well - as are my colleagues.
I don't want to reset the security settings - outlook should not be creating Activex objects in my new e-mails in the first place ! I don't know - but the problem seems to be related to how the signature is created in the mail format section - for automatic signatures. When you use anything other than outlook to create that signature (i.e. if you use Word or Notepad and import or even copy/paste it back in) then everytime I create an e-mail, the signature comes up with an Activex. How do I stop this happening please "sat" wrote: Follow-up to: microsoft.public.outlook OL 2002 SP3; Win XP SP1 When I go "New/Mail Message", I keep getting the message: "Your current security settings prohibit running Activex controls on this page. As a result, the page may not display correctly." OL is set to insert a default signature (html) in every message. AM I doing sonething wrong? How do I fix it--1) on my computer?--2) so that is doesn;t give the same problems potentially to recipients? Tx, S |
