send messages are sitting in outbox. How can I get them to leave
I've just set outlook up as my preferred email. Emails I have created are
sitting in the outbox, refusing to go. I have the default outlook settings and no delay flags on mails. Help

If you can not delete it, two things you can do:
1. Cut the network connection, Outlook will get an abort on sending and release the message. 2. If 1. does not help, create a new file, make it the default and re-start Outlook. Now the Outbox is in the new file. Outlook will not try to send from the other file, you can delete the message.
