I tried searching, but couldn't find the answer...
Is there a way, configuration wise or third party program wise... to create a Desktop Shortcut to items in Outlook? lets say I have a folder in the Public Folders, and I want to create a shortcut to a item inside that folder? I am aware I can create a shortcut to the folder. Thanks in advance for any help provided. Shayne. |

Watch out when creating a link to an email item. After moving the email to
another folder, the link has gone. Why do you want to link to items? Using Exchange offers you an intelligent way of linking: just copy the email to another folder and Exchange make you believe you copied the item. In fact Exchange does still keep one item but gives you second folder a link to that item. This doesn't work in Ooutlook IMO (Outlook using a pst file) "Sue Mosher [MVP-Outlook]" schreef in bericht ... I don't need shortcuts within Outlook, but on the users Desktop, to
items withing Outlook. I don't need it, but the user has so many items open, he just wanted to bring up a Outlook item that is constantly updated, with a single click from his desktop. Hope that helps explain why I needed to know this. ![]() Shayne. MPVJules wrote: Watch out when creating a link to an email item. After moving the email to another folder, the link has gone.
