Dear friends:
I use Outlook 2003, and I want to set a rule that automatically completely deletes all the messages that are labeled as SPAM from my ISP. I didn't have any problem to create the rule, but when I run it, Outlook says that I don't have the permissions to do the automatic deletion. But, I don't have any problem if the rule says that these messages should be moved to the "Deleted" folder, and after that, I clean the "Deleted" folder manually. Why can I not do it automatically? How can I set the necessary permissions? Thanks Juan I. Cahis Santiago de Chile (South America) Note: Please forgive me for my bad English, I am trying to improve it! |

Brian, do you mean "WinXP account" or "Outlook Account"?
If you mean "WinXP account", I have administrator rights. If you mean "Outlook account", they are POP mail and Hotmail type of accounts. "Brian Tillman" wrote: Juan I. I don't use any extra product to access the hotmail accounts. I
declared one of my accounts as an "Hotmail" type, the other two as POP. "Brian Tillman" wrote: Juan I. Cahis wrote: If you mean "Outlook account", they are POP mail and Hotmail type of accounts. For a POP one.

For a POP one. Let me see if I understand. If instead of choosing the "delete it" action, you choose the "permanently delete it" action, then when the rule runs Outlook gives you the error you described in your original post, is that correct? -- Brian Tillman |
