Default Connecting Outlook to SQL?

I want to be able to add a tab to the message window that would have
tab that would connect/populate from a SQL database. The plan is to
allow mailbox messages to be "filed" into SQL connected with a user
name/e-mail address. This will need to be deployed on a dozen or so
desktops.

Is this add-in territory or should I create a custom form?

D
