In OL03, Tools, Send Receive, Send Receive Settings, define send/receive groups. there is a checkbox to include a group in send/receive when you press F9 -- John Blessing http://www.LbeHelpdesk.com - Help Desk software priced to suit all businesses http://www.room-booking-software.com - Schedule rooms & equipment bookings for your meeting/class over the web. http://www.lbetoolbox.com - Remove Duplicates from MS Outlook, find/replace, send newsletters |

Tools, Send/Receive, WhateverAccountname only, Inbox
Does that work? If so, then you haven't included any accounts in your Send/Receive groups. -- John Blessing "Kirbz" wrote in message ... tried that, didn't work. sned and receive is not working at all , tried F9, clicking send/receive, don't know what to do. You need to define a send/receive interval for immediate send/receive on
startup. -- Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without reading. Do you already have a mail account installed, tested and active? Control Panel-Mail Icon-Email Accounts-View or Change. Does your account show up? If yes, then...
Start up Outlook, the select Tools-options-mail setup tab. Select the Send/Receive button. On the next tab where you see all of the options, look to the bottom portion of the page for "setting for All Group accounts" - the option to set a send/receive interval appears there. Check it and ensure you select no less than a 10 minute interval. -- Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. I am experiencing the same problem: I generally use Ctrl+M to send and
receive and it works, but over time it does not work no more. When this happens, neither F9 nor the Send/Receive button works any more. All I can do is Send or Send All from the menus. The only way to receive messages then is to Download Headers In This Folder, right-click mark the ones I want to download and then Process All Marked Headers. Sometimes it has helped me to reboot Outlook, more often I have to reboot Windows. I typically reboot Windows from a cold start every 2 days. I suspect that the Send/Receive routine itself gets hung-up in an undefined state and therefore fails to respond. I doubt that a virus would have redefined the function. I suspect that a solution requires new code. Thanks, Christian (advanced user since MS DOS 3.10) |
