Default Disappearing/incomplete menus

I keep getting missing parts of text and menus within outlook. for example
the inbox is missing the x and the outbox is missing the x and sent items is
missing half of the m and the s ditto with all the other boxes. I have run
the repair tool but I still have the problem.... what do I do?
