I didn't write down the exact verbiage, but it was something to the effect of
the Port and SSL settings were not recognized and there was no response from the server. After double checking the settings, which were correct, and talking with our email carrier (different from our ISP), I gave up. I just deleted the whole Outlook program, reinstalled it and started from scratch. I'm not receiving email on Outlook, but it doesn't matter, because my PDA still receives my AT&T email. I am just using Outlook for phone, calendar and contacts. So frustrating, but I do appreciate your willingness to help me out. Thanks again, April "Brian Tillman" wrote: April wrote: I have changed everything, even deleted his account and put all of my info in there. It has my name, user id, password, etc. But when I do a test email or test connection (can't remember what it's called), it is unsuccessful -- can't recognize POP3 and SMTP servers. What is the exact text of the errors? -- Brian Tillman |
