Hi, I created a mail account for the first time today with OE. I left the
checkbox checked to remember my password, which I haven't forgotten anyway. But when I again entered OE, I was asked for my password, and the checkbox to remember the password was grayed out. I entered the password and it was rejected (and I did this several times). I went to Tools/Accounts/Mail and re-entered the password. OE still won't accept my password, so should I delete the account and redo it or will I still have the same problem? What do I do? Thanks, Larry |

What you do is ask in an Outlook Express newsgroup. This one is for Office Outlook, a completely different application. news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...xpress.general -- Brian Tillman |

I have had this same problem. I am running Outlook 2003 SP2. When I install IE7 I get the same behavior only with my Hotmail account.
The behavior is this: Install IE7 Try to access HTTP mail (Hotmail account) through Outlook. Even though password is stored by Outlook, a dialog pops up asking for the password. The Check Box to remember is unchecked. Even if I retype the password and check the box again, Outlook refuses to log into my Hotmail account and keeps popping up the Password dialog. All of my POP mail accounts are unaffected. Remove "NOSPAM." to reply to this email address. EggHeadCafe.com - .NET Developer Portal of Choice http://www.eggheadcafe.com |
