Default Append to merge file

I created a mailing label document using Outlook 2003. I want to add
records to it from another data source. How do I do this without combining
the two data sources into a single input file for a new merge? Is there a
way to load the original merged document to Word and append the data from
the second source file at the bottom of the original document?

I want to append to the list rather than to combine the two data files into
a new mailing list.
