Outlook 2003 is not creating a hyperlink to my email address. After composing
my message, I insert my email address and Outlook recognizes it. The problem is, once it's sent the recipient can't click on the address and have it open automatically. I had no problem doing this in Outlook Express. Is this just a setting I need to make a change to? Thanks in advance |

Are you saying that if your recipient clicks on the Reply button, nothing
happens? -- Kathleen Orland Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ http://www.howto-outlook.com/ "Sarge" wrote: Outlook 2003 is not creating a hyperlink to my email address. No. There is not a problem with the reply function. The problem is after
composing my email, if I enter another email address ) for the recipient to reply to, that address will not automatically become a hyperlink which the recipient can click on. The only way I've found for that to work is if I enter the address as follows: Once I enter the mailto:, the address then becomes a hyperlink which the person can click on and the email program will open up. What is the message format you are using? If using Rich Text or HTML, does it work?

Milly,
You hit the nail on the head. The original format was "Plain Text". Once I changed it to "Rich Text", the hyperlink worked. Thanks for the help!
