Hi,
About once a month we have to send an email out to many of our clients and employees across the county letting them know of updates and other events going on within our company. I have been importing the list of emails into Outlook and then selecting all of the email addresses in the contact folder when addressing the email. I use the BCC field so as not to allow anyone else see who else is getting the email. The problem is that the list of emails is just under 11,000 emails strong and when populating the BCC field it takes a long time to complete. So my next thought was to create distribution lists to help break up the large list of emails. The problem is that you can only cut and paste about 200 emails in per distribution list. Is there another way to handle either setting up the distribution lists or sending out the email? |

With 11,000 addresses, I would use a dedicated list management application. Mail bounce rates for mailings tend to run 5-10%. Do you really want to manually process the bounces for up to 1100 addresses? There are many such applications available, both hosted and ones you can install locally.
If you insist on using Outlook, perform a mail merge with Word to send 11,000 individual messages. -- Sue Mosher, Outlook MVP Author of Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.turtleflock.com/olconfig/index.htm and Microsoft Outlook Programming - Jumpstart for Administrators, Power Users, and Developers http://www.outlookcode.com/jumpstart.aspx "Jim Moberg" wrote in message ... Please try our email scheduler (http://www.lbetoolbox.com/scheduleemail.htm)
