I have Outlook 2002 installed. I usually send an email by using the key
combination Alt/S but occasionally, instead of the email being sent, a voice starts reading aloud the email I have written. Now I have tried all sorts of Alt key combinations to make it happen on purpose but it won't so my question is, what is happening, why, and can I use the speech recognition program in other MS products? ![]() Yup, it is the Speech recognition module. I recognise the voice which is different to the one in narrator. Now I just have to figure how I am turning it on and off so I can actually use it when I want it instead of by accident. Thank you for you quick reply and assistance. All the best for the New Year. Lloyd. Diane Poremsky [MVP] wrote: sounds like you are enabling narrator. look in accessories on the start menu. If it's not that, then it could be speech - look in control panel for the lauguage applet. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: wrote in message oups.com...
