Default fonts change on reply

When I hit reply to a message, the font that was used by the original sender
changes.
I'm using Word as my email editor for Outlook 2003.
It seems that the sender's font becomes formatted as "Normal (web) - Times
New Roman 12pt". I don't want to reformat anything that is already in
existence in the original message. I just want to add my own text in reply.
How can I prevent Outlook from doing this extra formatting? I have tried
changing every option I could find to no avail.

Any help is appreciated.

Dominic

Nevermind. I got it. In case anyone else is having a similar problem,
here's how I fixed it. Hit reply and let Word open as your editor. Go to
"View" - "Zoom" and make sure it is set to 100%. I'm not sure why, if it
was just a zoom issue, the fonts seemed to persist in an enlarged size when
an email thread kept going, but this fix seems to have solved my problem.
