I run a stand alone version of Outlook 2003 SP2, with Win XP Pro
I do not use any Exchange functions as all my mail is POP3 Outlook regularly synchronises folders - which is slowing my PC down. Why does this happen - is it necessary - can I stop it. Also: I've now got 2 sets of Personal Folders visible, which I find irritating, how can I get rid of one? TIA |

I think 'synchronizing' is just the nomenclature Outlook uses for a lot of
folder operations, including downloading. I see the same message and just use POP3 servers. Is the other set of folders your archive? "Alan Davies" wrote in message ...
