delete account also deleting that accounts messages?

Default delete account also deleting that accounts messages?

Hello. Can I delete an account in outlook 2000 but keep the messages for
that account or does the account's messages get deleted then also?

So, they DO get lost when deleting the account?

I don't believe they do get lost but they would lose the association with a
new email account as far as I'm aware.

If the account is an Exchange account and it is deleted on the server, yes.
If it's a POP account, no.
