Researching this issue, it seems to affect a lot of people and goes back to
around 2003 w/no solid fix or answers. I'm running Win XP sp2 and Outlook 2003. When I click on a link in Outlook, it can take up to 30 seconds for IE to open. Sometimes Outlook goes white then comes back when IE opens. Sometimes a reboot fixes it. Sometimes not. Opening IE by itself is instant. The Outlook registry setting for the path to IE is correct. I've disabled Webroot Spysweeper, McAfee 2007 VirusScan and just about everything else. Nothing is scanning my email. The only add-ins Outlook has is Backup and iTunes. Any ideas? |
