Win xp failed on me, and I had to re-install, now I'm trying to get things
set up again. I run Office 2000 off a different HD than the o/s. When I went to the MS site to download an Outlook 2000 backup program, it sent me through a routine for validation, and decided it couldn't find the Office 2000 installed on my computer. BTW, I have a valid Office install - everything is legit. What do I do to get this thing "validated"? Thanks |

FWIW, a backup program really isn't necessary:

Its not validating, because the new validation Tool no longer recognises
Office2k, as its no longer supported by MS. If you really want the backup addin, google, you should be able to find an older copy that doesnt require validation "Rick C" wrote in message hlink.net...
