![]() I recently upgraded to Outlook 2003...and there are a few things i still haven't really figured out.. Firstly, I never really used the email function in 2000 anyway, as I've always prefered OE...nut just curious to know why in the defualt window pain of 2003...there are 2 "Personal Folers" under Mail... One has the "Today" style icon next to it, and the other has a sort of "data file"box icon... I'd be curious to hear anyone's views on actually using 2003 as their main emailer in stead of OE too... cheers, Hi-Soft |

![]() Well...I don't really know what the extra features in 2003 are...actually i thought OE had more feature eg newsgroups...! but one feature that would be handy is the syncing of Outlook email with my PDA, and then my Laptop....as at the moment i can't really sync OE propperly.. I guess just having it all toger makes it easier to back up etc too..BUT...I really no my way around OE...and would need to really read up on Outlook I think.. Now, these 2 folders...they are identicle as in what they contain..ie... the usual deleted, drafts, inbox, junk mail, sent etc... If i right click on the mail root "personal' folder of either, the option to "close personal folders" is greyed out ! cheers, Hi-Soft "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote in message ... do you need the features in Outlook? If not and OE meets your needs, why change? You may have a ghost folder or just a second pst in the profile. Is there any messages in it? Can you right click on it and choose close? -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "Hi-Soft" wrote in message ...
