I have this same problem and there are no correct answers posted he
"This operationhas been canceled due to | restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system | administrator." I guess I would be that person. If I am sent email | with a website referred in the email- I cannot open the website | because I get the above message. Anyone know how I can fix this? Don't tell me to reset the web settings in IE6 because I have already tried that to no avail. Please help. Someone must have solved this since this keeps being posted for about 2 years now. Thanks, /bear |

Thanks, Brian and I tried that based on your other posts in the past
before I posted this thread. I also followed MS advice 310049 which called for importing a registry key from another computer and that did not work either. In trying to find the solution, there have been at least 3 similar posts over the last 2 years where those solutions did not work. I must believe there is a solution that does. It seems like something silly got changed. /bear On Fri, 23 Feb 2007 08:54:08 -0500, "Brian Tillman" wrote: wrote: Don't tell me to reset the web settings in IE6 because I have already tried that to no avail. OK, we won't, but resetting IE is how Microsoft says to deal with the problem and most everyone else find that it works. If you have IE7, the process is different however. |
