I have Outlook 2003 SP2, is there a way to view an "image toolbar" to
compress an image that is pasted inline into an email?

A remote employee apparently has it show up automatically when pasting
an image, but I can't find it.

Hazarding a guess, I'm going to guess that either

a) You haven't clicked on the picture, which you need to do when in
wordmail.
b) You have clicked on the picture, the toolbar still isn't there, and you
need to go to View-Toolbars and make sure Picture is checkmarked.
c) You aren't using Word to edit your new messages (Tools - Options - Mail
Format, Use Microsoft Word 2003 to edit e-mail messages)
