I have a PST file with all my contacts in it that was created with Outlook
2003. That machine is gone now, so I no longer have access to Outlook 2003. My machine has Outlook 2000, which won't open the file. I know how to fix this if I owned 2003, but I don't. Am I just out of luck? Thanks, Tom |

Yes. Only Outlook 2003 or 2007 could be used to both open this file and
transfer the data to an older format PST. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Tom Scales" wrote in message ... I have a PST file with all my contacts in it that was created with Outlook 2003. Then if I were you , I would download a trial version of Office (uninstall Outlook 2000 first), install the trial, and once Outlook 2007 is up and running, create the 97-2002 style .pst file and copy it to a safe location. Uninstall the trial and reinstall Outlook 2000 and open it using Outlook's File-Open-Personal folders file.

That's a good suggestion. I may just give in and upgrade to 2007, although
having tried the beta, I absolutely hate the new user interface. "Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook]" wrote in message ...
