Default When I close Outlook it swaps my connection settings back from LAN

I have recently set up a wireless connection for my laptop and have changed
the settings in Outlook's e-mail connection tab to "Connect using my LAN.
When I close and re-open Outlook, it changes the setting back to the dial-up
one . I am use two laptops that I do not use simultaneously.Grateful for any
enlightenment .
