Default Outlook hangs with 100% cpu

I have a user who is having problems with Outlook 2002. He can open it
up ok but after a period of time it will start using 100% CPU and
hang. If he starts Outlook in safe mode he can use it ok.

Outlook is running on XP Pro and both have all updates, and service
packs etc.

The .pst file has been scanned but there was no problem there. The
..pst in stored on the local PC and Outlook does not use Exchange.
There are no third party plugins or anything installed in outlook.

Any suggestions

Tim
