Hi,
I've installed Outlook 2007 and am connecting to around 6 or 7 hosted email accounts via IMAP. These accounts have anywhere between 1000 and 5000 messages in. the problem is that the whole experience in using the software can be painfully slow. A fair amount of the time it's only just within the borders of being comfortable to work with. A lot of the time however even switching from one message to another can take around 10 seconds (sometimes a fair bit more) and waiting for these cached messages to update drives me mad! Does anyone have any tips to maybe improve the performance using IMAP? My connection is pretty good to the server, i've an 8Mb ADSL connection and only a few hops to the server. Thanks, Jack. |
