Hi

I have Outlook 2003 Within Microsoft Office 2003 Standard.

The Mail message editor in use is Microsoft Word (ie Use Microsoft Word as
Message Editor is checked)

When I create a new mail message, the message window opens, then it appears
to freeze for around 20-30 seconds. During this time anything that is input
does not appear, and the cursor is not flashing in any region.

When its "Freeze" ends the text that has been entered in the mean time then
appears.

Anyone have any idea why this is happening and how it can be rectified. I
tried "Detect and Repair" but that does not seem to have rectified it, I
also took a look at the Knowledge Base to no avail.

Have you applied SP-1 & 2 to your Office installation?

I am using:

Microsoft Outlook 2003 (11.8002.6568) SP2
Part of Microsoft Office Standard Edition 2003

and

Microsoft Word 2003 (11.6568.6568) SP2
Part of Microsoft Office Standard Edition 2003

I notice opening in word just this moment it freezes for a few moments
perhaps this is a word problem not Outlook?
