Default HD is churning

Ever since I "turned on" OUTLOOK 2007 in favor of OE, the HD continues to
churn away. Or am I just witnessing a coincidence??

Page File's monitor continues to tell me that 600-700 MB is being used. I
thought PF is akin to Virtual Mem, i.e. used when RAM is choked? (RAM here
is 2G)

Maybe a search application is indexing the pst file?
A basic check might be to look in the Processes Tab (Ctrl+Alt+Del) to see if
an app is consuming cpu
