When I close Outlook 2003 and reopen it, all of the Past Due Recurring
Appointments keep sounding off! The Past Due Alert comes up each time
Outlook starts up. It's really annoying! Is there a way to program
Outlook to ignore Past Due Recurring Appointments, and only alert me when the
next one comes up? Thank you for your help with this.

Have you tried dismissing them? What happens when you try?
