Default Keep getting prompts for a saved pst backup that I lated zipped and deleted original of??

I exported a folder, or perhaps the calendar, a couple of days ago to a pst
file backup on my desktop. After closing O2K, I zipped up the file and
deleted the original file and took the zip backup home. This is something
I've done many times without a hitch. This time around, O2K keeps prompting
at odd times during the day for this pst file and when I cancel on the box,
it opens up a browse box to travel to the deleted pst file. This is very
odd and has never happened to me before.

Is there a way to fix this, pls?

Thanks. D

Exporting to a PST is never the way to make a backup. It produces side
effects like you see. If you've not run into trouble before now, you've
been lucky. With Outlook closed, just use Windows Explorer to copy the PST
or just zip the original PST.

You may need to create a new mail profile, but exactly how depeds n your
Outlook 2000 mode. Post the second line of HelpAbout.

What? How else are we to copy a folder's contents or copy an entire
calendar that we just import later? If memory serves, this was proposed to
me in one of these Outlook ngs years ago when I asked how to do that. I've
used this method continuously for years and this is the first time I've had
trouble. Very puzzling.

As far as I know, we don't have access to the entire pst of all our
messages. That's on a server somewhere. I only need to copy a folder at a
time, not the entire thing, hence the export. So I'm not sure how to go
about doing the above that you say here.

I'm "Corporate or Workgroup" here.

Create a new PST, right-click the folder you want to copy, drag it to the
new PST, and choose Copy. Close the added PST.

Exporting to and importing from a PST has never been the proper way to copy
Outlook data.

Perhaps, but not surprising.

You MUST have full access to it or you wouldn't be able to use it. Outlook
will tell you where it is. ToolsServices

I'm "Corporate or Workgroup" here.

If you have an Exchange account, thgen you might not be using a PST.
Nonetheless, copying folders as I described will always preserve your data.
