I have office enterprise 2007 on Windows Vista ulitmate. When ever I try to
open outlook 2007 it goes through a "configuring microsoft enterprise 2007" process. Sometimes it will ask for a reboot, and if I select no, it will configure again, if I say yes, it will say that set up did not complete and it will tell me that there are processes still running do I want them to stop now. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I end up going in circles, repeating the same steps over and over. Thanks |

Can you try the following please and let us know whether it works or
not: 1- Reregister MSIEXEC. 2- Uninstall Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise. 3- Take ownership and delete the HKCR\.pip registry key. 4- Install Office 2007 Enterprise again. If it is a 64-bit version of the OS, the path will be a little different - HKCR\WOW6432Node\.pip. No, that didn't help. First off, there was no HKCR\.pip registry to delete.
Outlook opened, and then as soon as I tried to make an entry in the Calender it started the whole process again to the point where it won't even open stating that the program failed to initialize and will now close. I am repairing right now and will give you the exact processes that it goes through. First thing I did was to open outlook and minimize. If I click the short cut on the task bar to unminimize, it tells me that outlook has stopped working and will now close. However, the icon at the far right in the task bar still opens the program. As soon as I close the program it starts a configuration process (Configuring Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007....). This takes many minutes. It then tells me that I need to restart. If I say no It goes to another instalation that i don't know what it is installing for a few seconds. So I then restart. When I open outlook this time it opens and minimizes the same way. When I close the program it goes through the configuing process again. If I cancel the setup, I have to reboot to get Outlook to open again. I get an "The application failed to Initialize properly (0x80000003). Click OK to terminate the application." Reboot. And now I have to run the repair utility from the disk. Do you see the problem?
