I'm using Outlook 2007 to access my Hotmail via HTTP.
1. O'07 stores the password without problem, however, everytime I restart XP Pro SP2 it'll prompt me with the Hotmail password box which it already filled and I just have to press Enter... Why? If it remembers the password, why does it prompt and how do I stop it? 2. Whilst O'07 is synchronising with Hotmail I can do nothing. In Outlook Express I could look at previously sync email or even start writing a new one, but O'07 doesn't allow me this - all I see is its banner... Is there a way to let O'07 allow me to interact before Synchronization is complete? |

What about under Vista. I am having the repeated password prompt issue under
Vista (two different machines) with Outlook 2007. I WAS having the same issues under XP until I installed the patch in the article at: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/904942/en-us What I am having trouble figuring out is will this fix the same issue under Vista? I am running Ultimate 32 bit. "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote: 2. Nope. There is an update to outlook that might help (look for it on Microsoft.com/office - under downloads). Otherwise, a smaller inbox to sync will help. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: ** Please include your Outlook version, Account type, and Windows Version when requesting assistance ** "Alex Ferenstein" wrote in message ...
