"ATTENTION: High Water Mark Notification, total bytes stored."
I am getting the above notice in my email box and is doesn't say who it is to or who it is from. I have my account and several of my ISP sub accounts pulling mail through Outlook 2003. 1) the box for leaving mail on the server is NOT checked on any mail account 2) I go to the ISP's web mail to see if mail has backed up at their level and it is totally empty, i.e. they are all getting popped down to Outlook 3) I archieved my outlook email about two weeks ago so the only current files in my email box are recent ones So, why the heck am I getting this message and who is it really coming from? Your help, as always, is greatly appreciated. |

Why? Well, I don't think anyone around here will be able to answer that one. Who is it really coming from? Open the message, go to View - Options and look through the Internet Headers and read through them. There should be a hint there. -- f.h. |

Nothing but...
Return-Path: From: HWM_Notice_From Subject: ATTENTION: High Water Mark Notification, total bytes stored. Date: HWM_Notice_Date If I've done the three things above, what is it that could be at the high water level? |

Nothing else - copied directly from headers.

Out of curiousity, have you asked the ISP if they are the ones sending the message? A quick google points to the very poorly configured error message to be from the server side. And, as an aside, in a newsgroup, you really are only supposed to trim inapplicable text, not all of it. One should be able to figure out the thread by reading the most recent post, since it would include the salient points. -- f.h. |
