Default Sent messages staying in outbox...

Just recently, one of the users in my office has been experiencing the
following:
They can send messages, but after they are sent, they stay in the outbox &
won't move to sent items.
We are running Imail (pop3 server)
They are running XP Pro & Office 2003
Any idea what is causing this & how to fix?
Thanks-
