Using Outlook 2003, Exchange 2000 server, whenever I try to accept a
meeting request I get the error:

"You do not have appropriate permission in the calendar folder of Tom
Smith to perform this operation."

Tom Smith is the name of another invitee to the meeting. We were
working on sharing his calandar at one time, so I made sure to go to
his computer and remove myself as a delagate in case that was somehow
interfering. Rebooted his PC, still no help.

I would consider this an MS bug because I can't see how anything being
done with one user should cause another user to be unable to accept
meeting requests. I can't find an exact description of this (some are
close) to this bug elsewhere online either. Am I missing something
here?

First thing I would try is to clean up the forms cache.

To do so, follow these steps:
1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
2. Click the Other tab, and then click Advanced Options.
3. Click Custom Forms.
4. Click Manage Forms.
5. Click Clear Cache.
6. Close all open windows, and then restart Outlook 2003.

If the above does not work, try the following.

Deleting the Forms Cache File:
The Frmcache.dat file is the primary file to delete. The Frmcache.dat
file serves as an index of the individual forms that have been cached
on the computer. Use the following steps to manually delete the
Frmcache.dat file. In addition, these steps delete all of the cached
forms on your computer, which are stored in subfolders of the
Forms folder.

1.. Quit Outlook.
2.. Search the Hard drive (F3) to locate the Frmcache.dat file.
(Be sure to check in HIDDEN files on W2K or WXP.)
3.. Delete all that are found from the FIND window.
4.. Open Outlook.

When you restart Outlook, and use a form, the forms cache
is re-created.

Sorry, that did not work. It seems to have something to do with MS
security features on Exchange rather than the local forms cache, I'm
guessing. I actually did not find Frmcache anywhere on my PC. I
would test this on another PC, but the strange thing is that when I
login using Outlook Web Access, I cannot accept the meeting request
either. The button is dimmed out. It looks like I will not be able
to ever accept any meeting when this person is a member.

Since I'm in IT maybe I should just delete his account.
