Well, since my laptop had issues that could only be resolved by resetting
it, I tried setting up Outlook 2003 first instead of Earthlink's proprietary Total Access Software. And I can now use Outlook. Apparently the issue was a conflict between the 2. Thank you to those who answered, sorry if my typos in the message below made you think I had mistyped and caused my own problem. Roberta "Roberta Johnson" wrote in message nk.net... Has anyone ever figured out this problem? "Task 'pop.earthlinl.net - Sending' reported error (0x800401F): "The operation failed. An object could not be found.'" I have tried all the instructions from both Earthlink and Mircosoft many time without success. TIA-Hopefully- Roberta Johnson |
