Default rule for exchange mailboxes

Hi experts,
I have an exchange mailbox on our work server. In additon, I also
have
access to an additional mailbox called 'Mailbox - Compensation-Wpg'.
So in outlook I have the following structu

Mailbox - Compensation-Wpg
- Inbox
- Calendar
- etc

Outlook Today - Mailbox - Me
- Inbox
- Calendar
- etc

What I need to do is create a rule that when an email from the
'Mailbox - Compensation-Wpg' is sent, a copy is placed into the
'Mailbox - Compensation-Wpg's sent mail'.
Any rules I create will only seem to work on mail coming into my own
Mailbox.
I am an owner of Mailbox as well. I tried creating a rule looking for
any reply's with the 'Mailbox - Compensation-Wpg' email in it and to
copy to the sent mail fold in the 'Mailbox - Compensation-Wpg' but
that does not work perfect. If I could figure out a rule, it could
then be set up on each of the user's pc's as well but just cannot get
it right.

Any ideas? (I need to be able to see all the replies coming out of
the 'Mailbox - Compensation-Wpg' for statistical purposes. 14 have
access to this mailbox.).

Thx
Mel

If you're actually using the Compensation-Wpg mailbox as your *primary*
mailbox in this Outlook profile, that's what should happen anyway. If the
reverse is true, it won't by default - it will go to your own sent items
folder, and you'll have to use rules..

But these are rules based on mail you're *sending* ...not receiving....so
that isn't really relevant per se.

Presuming your primary mailbox is your own:

Dbl-click on one of the sent messages in your mailbox's sent items (from
your shared address)

Click on Actions | Create rule

Tick the box for "From ....(mailbox)"

Tick the box to move it to a folder, navigate to the shared mailbox's sent
items folder.

I think your company should look at
www.ivasoft.biz - UniSent would
probably help you. You can't really rely on a whole slew of individually
configured client-only rules to manage this sort of thing.

Of course, OWA for this mailbox is another option.....

This works somewhat but what I really want to be able to do is have
all sent emails from the comp-wpg mailbox copied to the comp-wpg sent
folder. In addition, any emails forwarded from comp-wpg mailbox and
deleted from comp-wpg mailbox also saved in the applicable folders of
the comp-wpg mailbox. Now I know that this is almost impossible but
need to ask.
thx

I had set up a rule using the secondary mailbox 'comp-wpg'. I used
the create rule with the 'comp-wpg' email addresss and then had it
send a copy (or move) to the sent folder of the 'comp-wpg' mailbox.
It worked once but then has not worked again. Not sure why.

I then went and set up the rule on another PC (one of the shared users
who will also be using the 'comp-wpg' mailbox). This time it did not
work at all. When they reply from the 'comp-wpg' email, it continues
to put the sent mail into their own sent mail folders. (the from name
is the users name and 'on behalf of; Compensation-Wpg'.). I really
don't know what I am missing. thx
