I have an office where we are noticing that if we look in Vista Mail that MS
outlook 2007 has missed many emails. Program restarts and reboots don't seem to correct the problem, and both programs are using the same IMAP settings. Is there a "helpful" little option in Outlook that prevents it from looking a all email receieved to an account? Does anyone else have the same problem? |

No differences that we can note. We also found that Thunderbird works
without error and we have used Outlook XP and 2003 without problem. This problem started with our new computers running Vista Ultimate, Office 2007 Enterprise (both complete installs) and McAfee's Virus Scan 8.0 (the campus uses this virus program and it's Vista compatitble). We have also seen 2007 finally get some of the missing mail, but days later. Office policy is that all computers are restarted daily, so even this is another mystery without reason. Our current best guess is a security measure somewhere, but if in virus software other programs should be effected and if in Outlook 2007 it's not easy to find. If not a setting? Then an error somewhere in the software? Disable McAfee's virus scan and see if the problem goes away.

Is the view of email being filtered in Outlook 2007? Is it being directed to
the Junk Mail folder? -- Kathleen Orland - MVP Outlook Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ http://www.howto-outlook.com/ "nano" wrote: I have an office where we are noticing that if we look in Vista Mail that MS outlook 2007 has missed many emails.
