Default Outlook 2007 Problems

I realize this may be too general of a question, but I upgraded from
Outlook 2003 to 2007, and 2007 is just not running well at all. It
literally takes 10 minutes to start up and freezes all of the time.
Here are the components that I think may be causing the issue:

1. I installed Business Contact Manager
2. BCM comes with some kind of Sequal Server management software that
is installed on my computer
3. I installed the desktop search that Outlook recommends as well.

I am considering removing some or all of these components. Has anyone
had the same problems, and are there any fixes out there that I just
have not been able to find?

Thanks!
