I ran SCANPST.EXE and it seemed to slowly work it's way through Phase 1, slowing as it proceeded. Phase 4 also looked like it completed, but went faster as it neared the end, then gave me the message "An error has occured which caused the scan to be stopped. No changes have been made to the scanned file." The .pst file was very long (2 MB), I never throw anything away.
