I have a small home network of a desktop PC and a laptop. I use MS Otlook
on both. Is it possible to import my Inbox (or any other folder) from on to the other? Peter |

Simply copy the pst-file (in this file the most Outlook datas ¡X Mails, Contacts, Calendar etc ¡X are stored) from one computer to the other and open the file in Outlook via File | Open | Outlook-Datafile The pst-file is usually stored in C:\Documents and Settings\%Username%\Local Settings\Application Datas\Microsoft\Outlook -- Best Regards Christian Goeller http://www.outlookfaq.net |

Thanks, but will this not overwrite everything in the receiving computer? I
have managed to get the two outlook files out of synch. I want now to transfer the messages in the inbox of my laptop to the the inbox of my PC, but retain all existing messages in my PC's inbox. Actually it often will because the new installation will very likely have a
data file with the same name. Accordingly, it is essential that this file never be copied into the default location. Copy it anywhere else and you'll be fine. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Christian Goeller" wrote in message ... With a small home network, it is easier to set one or both* of the computers
to Leave Mail on server, so it can be accessed from either one. *If both are set that way--Just make sure to Delete from server after XX days so the server doesn't get clogged.
