Default outlook continually trying to connect

Having a jolly good time with outlook express today. The status bar informs
me that OE is continually trying to connect with the server - like every
minute. This is annoying the daylights out of me - any reason why it would
be happening?

For Outlook Express support, you'll want to ask in the
microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general newsgroup.

Since you're also using the web based newsreader rather than outlook
express, you might want to use
http://www.microsoft.com/communities...ress.ge neral
(or, since you're using Outlook Express for mail, look at the steps in
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/...groups101.mspx for
how to set up OE to use the microsoft newsgroup server).

Thanks - I've never used this before and this group was the alternative
offered to be by Microsoft Help, so I used it.

Never mind anyway as I've fixed the problem myself

Cheers
