can not turn on word as my editor.check box in Mail form tab are grayed
out.is there another way to do this

What version of Word do you have installed?

Default outlook 2003

You must have Word 2003 to use the editor. Versions must match.

Iam useing outlook office 2003 to update 2ooo .....still useing office 2000
word excell etc.

That would be an issue. Outlook and Word versions must match in order to
use Word as the editor.
