Default Outlook 2003 Accounts

Well I lost track of the first post due to all the forums! I'll try to keep
track of this one.
Ok I have two mail accounts. One is a gmail account one is a verizon
account. I have gmail set as the default in my "email account". However the
check mark on the 'accounts' button shows verizon as the account to send
with, when I 'reply', 'reply to all', or 'forward'. I have deleted the
verizon software trying to get gmail to show as the sending account but that
didn't help. What do I do to get the gmail account to permanently show on the
accounts button as the default.

Control Panel, Internet Options, Programs, set gmail as the default. It's not
an Outlook setting. If you have Vista, use the Start button, Default Programs.

Replies and forwards will automatically go out using the account the sender
of the original message used...so if you get a message through Verizon,
Outlook will reply through Verizon unless you manually choose Gmail. That's
just the way it works...Outlook assumes (usually correctly) that you would
want to use the same account for a reply/forward as for the original message,
instead of changing accounts mid-conversation.
