Default Delegate / Other Users Folder Problem

We are experiencing some problems trying to read another users email.

Scenario:
Bob has just been delegated access to user Steves Inbox, Calendar and Tasks
by Steve (himself) adding Bob to the delegate list and granting him
"Reviewer" access.
From his own Outlook, Bob goes to File Open Other Users Folder Steve
(picked from the list)
Bob can now see all Steves Inbox. He can even open some of the Email in
Steves Inbox.
But when he tries to open some email he gets the following message:
"Cant open this item. You do not have sufficient permission to perform this
operation on this object. See the folder contact or your system
administrator"

I cant see any differences between the email he can and cant open.

I have deleted the deleagte and recreated it with permissions - no joy
I have run both users outlook profiles on different PCs - no joy

Anybody seen this before or Any Ideas?

Thanks in Advance

Mark

Hi Mark,

Maybe I had the same issue this morning :-)

I recreated the Outlook profile and it was OK...
Otherwise, are you sure the messages they try to open are not marked
as confidential/private/sthg like that ?

Items marked private would be my first thought.

No, Items are not marked private or confidential.
This was also my first thought.
With some more Investigation, it seems that only unread email is the
problem.
If I read the email from my Inbox, so the email is then marked as read, bob
is then able to view the email that he could not before.
This is still an non-consistent problem with regards to 2 emails from the
same person, he can open one but not the other??

Any more Ideas

Thanks

Mark

Did you try recreating the Outlook profile ?

This worked for us.

Are your clients in cached mode?
