Default Transferring Outlook 2002 datafiles to 2003 and 2007

I'm in the process of moving contact info from ACTS to Outlook 2002 on my
office system. I have Outlook 2003 on my laptop. I will be buying Outlook
2007 with a new office system. Will I be able to easily move my Outlook data
to the laptop (2003) and then to the new system (2007) in the spring. If I do
copy my .pst file to the laptop for a road trip or vacation, will I be able
to update my current office computer with any changes from the laptop (2003)
to my present office system (2002).

Thanks for any advise,

UpinAK

An OL2003 format (unicode) pst is not accessible to OL2002 or earlier
You can, in OL2003 create an earlier version pst, or you can continue to use
your origonal 2002 pst in 2003.
The old format pst has a size limitation, the unicode does not. The unicode
is also apparently more robust.

Moving a pst or migrating to a functioning OL system using the incorrect
method will corrupt your pst and or profile

DL,

Thank you for the response. I found OL2003 for a fairly discounted price
online so I guess I will just rub my neck and write a check to upgrade my
office system to OL2003. Bought a thick OL2002 manual a few weeks ago (I'm a
manual reader) that just became landfill. I think I'll hold off buying a 2003
manual and go right to a 2007 manual next spring when I move up to Office
2007. Hopefully the

When I stop thinking and doing in ACT terms I'm finding Outlook to be quite
robust, but still have to reach for the manual often during the day. The
intent is to be able to get my contacts into a handheld PDA in the next year
or so. Just seems Outlook is much more widely supported than ACT for doing so.

Cheers,

UpinAK

Actually, a lot of the information for OL 2002 is also applicable to OL
2003, so don't toss that manual yet.
