Also see if you can find anything on www.slipstick.com (search for import) There does not seem to be any way to "export" from Thunderbird Ron To quot Thunderbird, How do I export e-mail messages to another mail program or computer? Thunderbird's mail files are in the standard plain text "mbox" format, which almost all mail programs can use or import. Many proprietary mail programs have a function to import from Eudora, which also uses the "mbox" format; this function should read your Mozilla mail files properly. Your mail files are inside your profile (see the Profile Folder), in the Mail and (if you use IMAP) ImapMail folders. Each mail folder (Inbox, Sent, etc.) is stored as two files — one with no extension (e.g. INBOX), which is the mail file itself (in "mbox" format), and one with an .msf extension (e.g. INBOX.msf), which is the index (Mail Summary File) to the mail file. Tell the other program to import mail from the file with no extension. If you want to transfer a mail file to another Mozilla profile or another installation of Mozilla, simply put the mail file into the other installation's Mail folder. |

What I'd change about it is the advice to import the messages from Outlook Express using Outlook's FileImport and Export function. I'd export from Outlook Express using it's FileExport function. Importing with Outlook will change the message received dates to reflect the time of import. -- Brian Tillman |

i have managed to wrangle my way around it after going
to the following site. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Export_mai..._or_Apple_Mail. ; i used the long method of copying files from thunderbird profile to Eudora and renaming as .mbx ext then exporting to outlook express and then finally importing with outlook 2007. took a little while due to large amount of folders and messages etc but done. i think you lose some attachments though "Ron Harries" wrote: How do I import messages and address book from Mozilla Thunderbird to Outlook 2003 Thanks Ron Harries |
