It could be that the outgoing SMTP server is looking for authentication from
you. When you set up your account in Outlook, did you specify your password for the SMTP server as well as your POP3 server? It could also be that if you have antivirus set up to scan incoming/outgoing mail that it's preventing you from connecting. -- Kathleen Orland - MVP Outlook Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ http://www.howto-outlook.com/ "Jason" wrote: anyone know why my outlook was keep sending a mail when everytime i press send/receive or send/receive itself? yes I do try specify the password for SMTP server.
I have try to disable my Anti virus scan there still a mail wanted to sending out. Yesterday I also try to disable that account for sending mail. I close outlook then reopen it, it auto check mail at the beginning, it didn't send any mail on that account but on 2nd time automatic check mail it do sending that pending email again! and got hold and generate the same error code. I do believe may be the data base or something on outlook has crashed. Before that account was fine. but after one update and the computer was restarting and didn't close outlook proper. "K. that's the case it could be a read receipt that's stuck in the Outbox. You
don't mention what version of Outlook you use, but follow the steps listed here (they may or not be exact, depending on which version of Outlook you have): http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/d...eadreceipt.htm -- Kathleen Orland - MVP Outlook Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ http://www.howto-outlook.com/ "Jason" wrote: i think so however i cant see there is a email in outbox will it help by reinstalling outlook?
