Hi there,
Vista Business Primium with Outlook 2007, SBS 2003 server, Exchange account. My original problem was the connection with vpn (like the sympton description on Scott Townsend's query. dated 18/09/07, but the user was using it at home "Internet Connections My VPN to the office is fine, though I seem to have intermittent connectivityissues with Outlook 2007 to the Exchange 2007 server. In the bottom right it will say, Connected, Disconnected, Trying to connect, etc...") and thought, if I use rpc over https which would solved the connection problem. However, Vista doesn't seems to like the self issue certificate. Will not allow the rpc over https. The certificate is installed but outlook still doesn't seem to connected. Anyone experience similar issues ? |

Anyone experience similar issues ? By Design, iirc. RPC over HTTPS doesn't work with self-issue certs. You may want to try to figure out the VPN issue instead, or use OWA instead. -- f.h. |

Hi there,
The 'self issue' certificate do work in XP or I should said that was the way I setup all applicable cleints on XP. From your reply, I assume this is a Vista issue. If I am wrong here, please let me know. OWA is not a prefer option as my client like to keep everything as a 'standard'. With regard to the VPN, don't understand what is going on. Doesn't seems to have solution on Scott Townsend's query. What my client is saying when she connect to VPN at home, would use server share folders without problem but all the emails are sitting in the outbox and not sending at all and the bottom right hand corner has this Connected, Disconnect, Trying to connect coming up.
