![]() What if you have changed their document and want to reply. Do i have to first save it, rework it, then upload it again? "Ben M. Is there some switch or setting to make it automatic? No. Outlook assumes that whomever you're replying to sent the attachment to you and thus doesn't need to get it back. -- Aloha, -Ben- Ben M. ... What if you have changed their document and want to reply. Do i have to first save it, rework it, then upload it again? yes, because you should never edit the temporary copy that opens when you click on the attachment...... |

What if you have changed their document and want to reply. Well, then it's a different document, isn't it? Do i have to first save it, rework it, then upload it again? That's best. Save it, change it, then reply to the orginal message and drag the changed document to the reply to attach it. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |

Hi there,
My main problem is that I HAVE TO USE a kind of REPLY WITH ATTACHMENT OPTION in Outlook 2003. I dont have any kind of luxury to attach file separately after replying. I am a TA in university and I need to send 120 students hw`s back to their addresses. So I cannot spend time on attaching each document separately, it will kill me and my time. Therefore I really and very urgently need a clue about how I can REPLY WITH ATTACHMENT? It is truly very important for me that program attaches the existing document to the replied message as well. I am looking for some help. I will be truly very grateful. On Sep 26, 8:03 am, "Brian Tillman" wrote: chris wrote: What if you have changed their document and want toreply. Why would you reply with the attachment unless you've changed the attachment and if you're changing the attachment the time it taks to reattach the document is miniscule compared to the time it takes you to change the document. I can't buy your argument as realistic. However, even if it were, Outlook won't do what you want. You either have to reply and take the time to reattach the document or you have to forward and take the time of reentering the original sender's address again. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
