Hi all,
is there a way to empty certain Outlook 2003 folders after a specific period of time? We're using Office 2003 in a Windows Server 2003 Active Directory environment with Exchange Server 2003. My goal is to empty 2 folders: - Junk Mail - Deleted Items automatically after a period of 2 weeks. A lot of users forget or don't know how to empty these folders themselves. If anyone knows how to achieve this (GPO, script, etc.) or can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. Thanx in advance, Jonathan |

Rather than use client side archive settings, I would take a peek at
Exchange 2003's Mailbox Manager settings (its part of Recipient Policies)*. /neo * Junk E-mail folder isn't in the list, but you can add it in order to manage it. "Jonathan Wood" wrote in message ... Thanx guys for your quick replies! Both suggestions will be very useful in
our organization. I will create a Recipient Policy to process the 'Deleted Items' and 'Junk E-mail' folders for all users in the organization. Brian's solution of using auto-archiving can be implementing by specific users who have created their own temporary (mails to be taken care off, etc.) folders in Outlook. Now all I have to do is to create a work instruction for them. Thanx again, Jonathan "Jonathan Wood" wrote in message ...
